Dr. Michael Jump

Dr. Michael Jump completed his PhD at the University of Liverpool in 2007 following 11 years spent in industry as an Aerodynamicist and aerospace consultant. He has been a faculty member of the University of Liverpool since 2007 and is now Senior Lecturer in Mechanical, Materials and Aerospace Engineering. Mike's overarching research aim is to improve the safety of flight through a deep understanding of the vehicles being used and the human operators that are required to use them. The main focus of this research has been for manned flight, particularly in rotary-wing vehicles, but is increasingly reaching into the unmanned aviation and robotics arena.
