This topic map has been created using a machine learning technique called topic modelling which has classified the words used in each ORCA publication abstract to extract the themes discussed within the publication.
This technique has been coupled with bubble map visualisations to create a rapid visual summary of our publication collection. The bubbles are positioned to reflect the similarities between topics and are sized to show the relative importance of topics.
