Science Minister, Sam Gyimah, visited the Edinburgh Centre for Robotics at the University of Edinburgh on 3 August where he met with Scottish Deputy First Minister, John Swinney MSP to discuss the economic opportunities for the UK and Scotland in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence (AI) which are being developed as part of the £100 million National ROBOTARIUM. Heriot-Watt University, as part of the ORCA HUB partner consortium, was awarded the Guardian University Award for Business Collaboration category at an awards ceremony in London last week, beating fellow finalists the Universities of Kent and Lincoln to the prize.        Professor Helen Hastie from Heriot-Watt University collected the award on behalf of the ORCA HUB, along with project partner Dr Michael Mistry from the University of Edinburgh.
